Ron's professional journey began at the DC Taylor Co., where he honed his skills from the ground up. His roles evolved from crewman to national sales manager, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of the industry. In 1992, a significant career milestone was achieved when Ron joined Benchmark, then known as Taylor Associates. His leadership and vision were instrumental in the acquisition and subsequent rebranding of the company to Benchmark, Inc. in 1994.
Under Ron's direction, Benchmark has grown to provide services to an impressive list of large, multi-national corporations and develop specialized roof management programs tailored to diverse sectors including hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and education. His approach emphasizes the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), incorporating Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and a strong belief in preventive maintenance and repair programs to extend asset longevity. Raised in Mount Vernon, Iowa, Vince embarked on his educational journey at Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and a Master's degree in Industrial Relations. His pursuit of excellence led him to the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business, where he completed his MBA, establishing a strong foundation for his professional career.

Before joining Benchmark, Inc., he made significant contributions as the Iowa Vice President/General Manager at Knutson Construction Services, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing operations and spearheading complex projects. His experience also includes impactful tenures at BerganKDV, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer and later became ICR Market Leader, Bergan Paulsen's Chief Operating Officer, and at Marsh, where he built up his skills in human resources management.
