Benchmark's Journey Through the Years
In 1994, the Taylor Associates Management Team purchased the consulting group from the Taylor family. Taylor Associates rebranded to Benchmark, Inc. in 1995. The name was chosen to represent our commitment to setting a high standard for which to be measured from. In 2004, Benchmark, Inc. and Pavement Consulting, Inc. merged, reinforcing our position as a comprehensive consulting firm. Over the years, Benchmark has grown into a thriving business with multiple locations across the country and a team of highly dedicated professionals. We have completed over 4 billion square feet of roof and pavement inspections and helped over 225 Fortune 500 clients.
Leadership Transition - A New Era
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are also welcoming a new era in our leadership. This transition is a testament to our commitment to continuous growth and adaptation in an ever-evolving industry. With the retirement of Ron Harriman (June 21, 2024) and Vince Ellison taking over as president, our new leadership team is poised to build on the strong foundation laid, driving Benchmark towards new heights of innovation and customer satisfaction.

Our team comprises of over 50 consultants; 5 Registered Roof Consultants (RRCs), 20 Registered Roof Observers (RROs), and six Professional Engineers (PEs), all dedicated to delivering high-quality services. We also have two Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) to ensure that our projects are meticulously documented and executed.
Commitment to Safety and Quality
We prioritized safety and quality. All our consultants undergo rigorous training, including a 10-hour OSHA course, AED, and first aid training. Our Safety Director performs regular safety audits to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of safety.
